Rustically elegant accommodations allow visitors to wake up to the splendor of a mountain morning in the comfort of their own suite, complete with living and dining rooms, large kitchens, fireplaces or wood burning stoves. The Native American-inspired Spa utilizes ancient traditions and organic products to further relax and rejuvenate the mind, body and spirit. Watch the moon climb over Utah's Mt. Timpanogos from your cottage patio, or enjoy a fireside dinner with new-found friends in a mountain home, and you'll begin to appreciate what Sundance is all about. To understand what's here, you need to spend time in the beautiful spaces and the rustic interior of our cottage lodging community, just as you must spend time on the trails and slopes of the mountain to fully experience this wilderness preserve. The quietude here contrasts sharply with the bustle found at most Utah ski resorts.

Disappointing

The condos at sundance are showing their age. Our recent stay included a shower door that would not close, worn toilet seat, small television that would not function correctly, and someone else's dirty socks discarded on the hot tub cover. Not what one would expect for $250. Servers at breakfast were cordial at best.

Pros: setting

Cons: dated, price, service

Sundance is the perfect romantic getaway! The rooms are cozy and the service is fantastic. The restaurants offer the most unique and romantic atmosphere in Utah. Sundance may not be a budget vacation but we always leave feeling like it was money well spent. We've found that the best time to stay at Sundance is in the spring and fall, when they still have a lot of recreational and cultural activities, but at discounted prices.

Pros: great atmosphere, intimate, relaxing

Cons: few spa services, no pool or hottubs, no fitness center

Unsurpassed

Sundance is one of the most beautiful resorts I have ever visited. The service is unsurpassed and the food is to die for. Once you have arrived, there is no reason to leave. The activities are endless, hiking, horseback riding, art classes, summer theatre, mountain biking, fly fishing and lots more in the summer. In the winter, the alpine skiing is a well kept secret and the nordic skiing is the best. You can even nordic ski at night. If you love peace and quiet in a rustic setting in one of the most beautiful canyons in the world, you must visit Sundance. You won't be sorry!!

Pros: Incredible food, Easy to get to, Lots of activities

Cons: Not a place for teens
