Orem Utah Museums

If you're looking for things to do in Utah that can get you out of the house, keep your kids occupied, and use your free time after work, this blog series is for you. Every week I will publish a list of places to visit and activities to do in and around Utah.

If you live near Brigham Young University and are visiting Provo in the near future, take the time to visit the BrighamYoung Museum and Utah State Museum in Salt Lake City. If you want to take in some culture and history, I have listed some recommendations below.

Visitors to these busy Utah museums can also watch weekly live animal shows that give you a glimpse of a variety of bird species, reptiles, mammals and birds of prey. One of Utah's best museums for kids is the Discovery Gateway in Salt Lake City. If you are absolutely fascinated by everything prehistoric, then this place is just right for you. There are family-friendly events they can attend all year round, such as the annual Utah State Museum Christmas party.

One of the best ways to experience all of these things is to visit the many museums in Utah, but what we like most is that there are many exhibits. Even the history of Great Salt Lake can be found at the Utah State Museum in Orem, which tops our list of Utah's most popular museums.

This place is easily the top free museum in Utah, though they welcome donations. The neighboring towns of Provo and Orem offer a wide variety of leisure and cultural activities, including over 60 city parks combined. Like most Utah cities, these two cities have a large number of parks and recreational facilities, with more than 1,000 acres of public parking space. The entire state offers hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, camping, horseback riding and much more.

The museum has more than 2,000 pieces that tell the story of Orem, including artefacts from the city's early history as well as a variety of historical and cultural artifacts.

BYU - MOA displays a variety of rotating exhibits focusing on various topics, and permanent exhibits attempt to depict the Utah Valley, with alternating exhibits showcasing the history of Orem and other parts of the state of Utah. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - The Museum of Saint Eccles has permanent and temporary exhibitions throughout the year. Highlights include the exhibition "Eccles in the Sky," a collection of works by artists from around the world, including the USA, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea, China, India and Japan.

Thunder Struck "was purchased by the Board of Directors of the Utah State Art Collection along with other works by artists such as Robert Rauschenberg, Paul Gauguin, and Paul Klee.

The Church History Museum houses the Utah State Art Collection, which includes works by artists such as Robert Rauschenberg, Paul Gauguin, and Paul Klee. Located on the west side of downtown Salt Lake City, west of the main building of LDS Church, it is a great place to be guided during a visit.
